I have a 2021 Tacoma with 8k miles. Since I got it new, it has been making a clunking noise (not too loud) from the front passenger side area. It’s only when I take off after the truck has been parked for a while - it does not make the noise when I drive, it does not make the noise when I turn, and it does not make the noise any other time - It only makes the noise when I take off after I have been parked for a while. Any ideas or similar experiences?

Sounds like a brake pad sticking to the rotor no big deal.

ABS check or pad slap. All normal things, just annoying.

Like others have said brake pads sticking. Pull pins and pads, lube with brake pad grease. It will stop the noise.

At 7mph its the abs check. Camrys do it. Sounds louder in some vehicles than others. Sounds like someone hit the side of the car with a stick.

    2008 Tundra's and 2004 Tacoma's do it too.

I have a 2020 SR5 and I'm experiencing the exact same noise and circumstances as you're describing. Passenger side, only after sitting all night. Slow roll about 10 feet, and then "clunk" coming from front passenger side. I feel better after reading this that it's normal.
