    Needs a layer of MLV now, OP. I’d go as far as putting a last layer of 1/16” neoprene over the MVL as a decoupling layer.

    I have all the stuff for mine, I just gotta find time to get it installed.

    mine will go completely top to bottom, left to right, like so:

    Body metal -> CLD -> CCF -> MLV -> neoprene -> interior panel/plastics

    I also have some open cell plugs another member made that fit right inside the cabin air vents. That should also help reduce some of that noise.

    If all else fails just turn up the music :notsure:

    Good plan. Do it right or don't bother. You'll be happy you took the extra steps to do it right.

    +1 on the MLV
    It’s thick and a PITA to get the carpet and panels back on, but worth it.

    Thanks all for the MLV advice. That’ll go up next. Meanwhile, I’m thinking over some custom wood tool/storage boxes for behind the seats... Ease of access and maximized storage are what I’m after... any ideas appreciated...

    Still waiting on MLV, so don't have that added in yet. While waiting, I knocked together a couple experimental boxes that fit between the seatposts. All in all, about 6 more side-to-side inches of storage than with the factory panels, and about 2 inches deeper. Lost about 1/2 inch front-to-back from what the factory panels provided. Not sure yet whether I like this configuration. Have not figured out what to do with the additional vertical space (molle panel? a tray/shelf?).

    How does the sheets of sound deadening material compare to the roll or spray on stuff?

    I think sheets and rolls would be identical, assuming sheets were applied with 100% coverage. No idea about spray on...

    I meant roll on. Like paint. Since that would not have the overspray issues with spray on. Figured it would get in all the cracks and crevices better. Just don’t know if it absorbs sound as well.

    The boxes look to be a good start. I still don't know what all you want to store, but since the space gets progressively narrower one more row of boxes might be all that is effective. Above that, you might think about hanging tools. I'm not sure a molle system would work but it might. You might get some ideas from the following google search...

    Perhaps hanging tools separated (and sound-deadened) by foam might be possible. Kaizen foam comes to mind.

    so 40 sq. ft. for all doors? and would another 40 cover the roof, floor, and back wall?

    That is badass. Do those cabin vents let a bunch of noise in otherwise? Never thought of that but makes perfect sense.

    i haven’t installed mine yet; but he says they work great. I’ll probably put a dab of hot glue on mine to keep them in place as I have plans for two subwoofers behind the seats.
