I have been researching for hours on sound deadening and haven't found a single straight answer. My truck sounds like a tin can from the outside when I'm playing music and I just bought new speakers. I brought up the sound performance but I want to sound proof it. I know you can only sound proof it to an extent. Don with SDS is just too pricey for me and I'm trying to find something in the $100-$150 range but still getting results. I'm thinking of going with dynamat extreme. Anyone else's thoughts? Thanks

cant help but im told all you have to sound proof is the back panel because the floor is solid and little to no sounds goes through it so the only "thin" spot is the rear panel from back glass down to the floor

When I did sound deadening to my 64' Chevy I used FatMat. I bought it on Ebay in a roll and it works very well at over 1/2 the price of dynamat. We also used it in my friend's 54' F100 and it worked wonders in there!

Use raammat. It's an awesome product. I have used them all raammat is the best for the price. Secondskin is my second favorite. Due to the thickness of the aluminum.

I recommend three tools. See below.

I did front fire wall. All 4 doors. Back wall and roof. I used 4 tiles on the roof which was plenty. My truck is now whisper quite.

I used two bulk packs. And 7 yards of sticky back closed cell foam.
Fiskers wheel fabric cutter - razorblade pizza cutter essentially
    Fiskers cutting matt
    Wood rolling wheel.
