sound in motor

    it sounds like a bearing going out but i got to listening to it and it is coming from the right side of the engine. it gets louder when you accelerate. any clue?

    its on the right side if your sitting in the truck.

    And you sure it's coming form the motor? It's extrememly hard to diagnose a sound with out actually hearing it but maybe we can point you in the right direction. If you have a stethoscope (cheap at a parts store), you can determine what part of the motor it is from. Even a long screwdriver will work. Just put your ear on the end of the handle with the tip touching the motor.

    When was the last time the oil was changed?

    ok. just got off work and did the screwdriver trick. it is a ticking noise and i hear it good right in the center of the motor.

    My 2tr makes a lot of clicking noises, but I assume it is just the valves?:notsure:
