I would like some feedback on this thing from those of you that have one. Will it fit under the drivers seat? Hows the bass? Are you happy with the sound? I'm considering adding one to my system, I currently have a kenwood head unit and amp with Polk components in the doors.

It may fit under the seats, and it wouldn't be that hard to measure for yourself. Just remember that if you want to install it on the passenger side there is a brace under the seat that will be in the way. I rotated the brace roughly 20* above parallel to the ground to increase clearance, while not risking passengers contacting the brace.

I believe someone has done this successfully with the Focal powered sub (very similar to the SO unit) so you might want to search for that. Try copying this into google "site:tacomaworld.com focal" to see if you have any luck. might as well replace "focal" with "B-8pt" while you are at it.

Thanks for the info, I mounted my amp under the passenger seat , the drivers seat has more room under it though. I'll have to get out the tape measure, I figured someone had already tried it on here so I could get a quik idea of how it fit and sounded. I don't want to fill my back seats with subs because I have kids, but I would like some more bass.

I'm guessing you're referring to the B-8PT, and if so here is a link for a thread with some good info about it. I've been looking into sound systems and currently this sub package is sitting at the top of my list.

From what most people have said it sounds damn good for the price and size! Adds the extra oomph to your sound system!

I can't speak to how well it will fit/integrate in a 2nd Gen, but I'm very happy with mine. It fits nicely under my driver's seat (almost like it was made to go there). Install was simple. Can't beat the price. Sounds great.

    In two words: Highly recommended.

    Yeah, I gots boost
I have been in another taco that has one... I would say that it is a little better than a stock sub in the thump department. If you just want that fullness of sound and don't need everything shaking, I think that its a viable solution...

Thanks for the info fellas! I think I'm gonna try one soon. I don't need truck shakin' bass, just want a little fuller sound. I'ts getting great reviews on Crutchfield. I'll let you know what I think when I get it.

You're welcome! Fuller sound is EXACTLY what the B-8PT delivered for me. Those looking for truck shakin' bass should plan to spend considerably more money on something that will occupy a lot more cubic feet...

Just installed the B-8PT in my 2011 TRD Double Cab. I have a Kenwood KIV 700 running the stock speakers and the sub outputs running the 8PT. I initially had the sub sitting behind the driver side back seat compartment, but it rattled too much. Moved it under the driver's seat and it made a big difference. Honestly, I am surprised with this little sub. Sounds great and adds the needed bottom end of the rest of the system. Really adds a ton of punch! Doesn't drop low like bigger subs, but rivals them in the solid pound it delivers. Only negative comment is that it is finicky about proper grounding. Took a while to find a proper ground spot.
