Plug and play speaker harnesses are crap and required soldering the connections. Also, there's a purple wire running from the head unit to the front speakers that is aluminium, which is poor for audio use and causes distortions.

So the problem was unfortunately the harness going from the head unit to the rear side tweeter and speaker?
I’ve spent so much money on new speaker and all of that lol.

this was the problem. Faulty connections by Car Audio City in San Diego. Don’t use their service. I found this little guy that was supposed to be connected to my left speaker that was barely shoved in the crimp, along with two others in which we’re controlling my right tweeter and speaker. I’m an electrician and from now on I am using my own knowledge to wire stuff up.

Btw, these faulty connections were tucked into the far right corner of the head unit, in which is not easy to see.

    Thanks Car Audio City!!

Same issue here, it was driving me nuts until I found out there was a bad soldering connection from Toyota. Which was causing passenger side door speaker & tweeter to buzz, crackle and sound fade in and out or sometimes not even play at all.
