I put in hybrid audio technologies 6.5 imagine series in front. They are pretty nice. Mr. Marv sells them. I am driving them with the Pioneer 3200dvd headunit. I cannot say how they would sound with a factory headunit.

    4 Channel amp

    Subwoofer
    Pioneer 10in shallow mount 2ohm

    Mono amp
    Pioneer gm 7500m

Sound deadening, ********* speaker adapters, kicker amp wiring kit, custom built subwoofer box and all labor performed by myself.

Very happy with overall system, no rattles, more than enough bass with a good mixture of mids and highs. I ordered majority of my gear from sonic electronix. Fast shipping and excellent customer service. Good luck with your build.

The headunit was an inheritance from my brother and that right there save me a boat load of the build. Everything else total under 700, some from sonic electronix and some from various deals i found online.

if you plan on getting someone else to put it in for you, instead of you putting it in
go to your local custom shop and tell them you want the inside of your truck to sound like a concert in the pit, see what they recommend.

my girlfriend did this with her 05 tahoe, except also told them she needed to keep the storage space; ended up with infinities all around and a 10 in. stealth box

if you have a double cab, check out the JL 13 w 5 pancake sub, it sounds awesom, and you keep about half the storage behind my rear seats

after that, just keep looking around on here, you will find all sorts of stuff

as for speakers, look at infinities, i have them all around in my truck, powered by a 1000 watt nitro amp (not super high quality, but they still scream)

On Friday I installed my $149(Free shipping,Dash Kit, Wiring harness) Pioneer DEH-6300UB from Crutchfield. Super easy! Along with the steering controller harness $69

Huge improvement over the stock. I can hear the music even with the windows down, unlike the stock radio.
