    So my truck is making a weird clicking sound on idle. When I looked it up on the interwebs and a lot of people said that the sounds were just the electric fuel injection, but it sounds like lifters does anyone know if their trucks click. Thanks

    mine has the clicking noise but sounds like all the other tacomas around me so I would guess probably just your fuel injectors

    Most likely the injectors doing their self cleaning. Happens during a hot idle.

    Ticking was the first thing I noticed. Dealer didn't seem surprised by it. I've heard other motors from third gens and they all seem to have it. Damn thing sounds like a sewing machine

    They had it since 2nd gen. It's just a characteristic of the motor. Believe it is stemmed from the VVT
