sounds like nuts rattlin in my engine

    throttling up between 1800 and 2200 RPM's im noticing a noise that sounds like bolts rattling around. I'm becoming a bit concerned about it.

    anyone know what it could be or had a similar issue?

    Where does it sound like its coming from? rear end, front end, engine, interior..etc?

    i have the "tacoma tick" but this is something different.
    a local toyota mechanic mentioned it could be my knocker sensor??

    does it do it while the truck is in park, and rpm's up? or only when driving

    If it were me, i'd start with the intake. make sure everything is installed properly & secure. don't know about the sensors. your check engine light on?

    just check'ed it all and all is secure and I think installed correctly. light is not on.

    hmm. other than checking everything under the hood, bolts, brackets, etc.., i dont have any ideas for ya..i'm sure someone smarter will chime in.. :p

    Check your heat shields on your catalysts, they rust and come apart and rattle when you initially take off, also at the beginning of a gear change. Won't do it while you idle only as you drive. Usually in the lower end of all gears. If they are loose then just pull them off, to get new ones you have to buy the cat.
