    Hello Taco World,

I live in Guyana (south America). I would like to update the map in my 2016 Trd Sport Tacoma. It obviously has the usa map. Is there anyway I could load my country map.

BTW GUYANA IS LOCATED NEXT TO BRAZIL AND VENEZUELA.

    thank you
    Chet

If you go to the dealer they should be able to sell you the maps you need and they will have to install them.

I'd contact Toyota directly. They may be able to point to someone in your country that can do the install.

I'm curious, how did a North American version of the Tacoma end up in Guyana?

$1200 is not bad at all
It would probably be easier for you to just get a dash mount for a smart phone and run your local area maps on your phone. You could also replace the head unit with one sold in your area that comes loaded with local maps.
Last option would be to buy a separate navigation unit- not ideal but probably the easiest solution would be to use your phone and a dash mount

. 1200 is relatively cheap. Considering i bought the tacoma for IRA TOYOTA NH. it cost me 1450 to get it from NH to Miami. I will just used Google maps on my Phone. Just exploring the possibility. Its no big deal . Would have been cool if an easy solution was available to used the head unit.

Interesting, i was looking in to moving out of the US too and wanted to take the Tacoma with if I did. Cool that shipping is so cheap.
Since mine doesn't have nav I'd use my phone and the android auto to navigate if I were to move to Mexico or Costa Rica.
