It only seems right that if a state splits we just split a star in half on the US flag. It'd be the 50th & a half state, not the 51st. If a new state was added then a whole star would be added and it would be the 51st state. And if a state succeeds or falls into the ocean or becomes too toxic to inhabit, then we take star(s) away.....discuss

If we're going to go as far as to split and become another state, then why not just go a little farther and secede from the union? At least then we could ditch the us deficit.

Did you guys not read the article?

A Republican wants to have all the conservative counties in Southern/Eastern California be a state. Los Angeles isn't included and would be part of "North California" or whatever, along with San Francisco and Sacramento. Not that it'll ever happen anyways... :p

Haven't you read the TW bylaws:

    1. Never completely read the OP's post.
    2. Never click on any links provided by the OP.
    3. Always spout your own random opinion, even if no one has asked for it and it is totally unrelated to the question or topic.
    4. It does not matter where you post your threads, because they are all off-topic. 2nd gen will do.
    5. You do not have to be able to count to potato to be a member.
