I just trailer up to the lake and put in at the ramp across from the Shriners club and cruise across the lake to Short Stay. I’ve run up to lake Marion from there too.

Next time you are In Hell -- Hell, MI that is -- they sell a particularly diabolical hot sauce in one of the two little stores there.

Love some Frank's, but I gotta admit I used some Sweet Baby Ray's for these wings that was pretty nice.

I’d be down to try that. Every now and then I like to dunk the trailer in fresh water. I use salt away and rinse it every time I launch in the salt

My trailer has been dunked twice in any water and it was on the sea trial before I bought the boat (putting boat in and pulling it out).

We should make the run up the river and back from here vs trailering. I want to put tracks down and also run through the locks.

I know I want new tires. Getting to hate the K02s. The sidewall is too stiff for SC roads. Especially with 886s up front. Also yes I'm getting old. :D
Seriously leaning towards the Falken Wildpeaks as they are pretty cheap thru Walmart. And I would save about 10lbs a wheel. Any reason not to get these? I'm 99% on road with a very occasional off road session. How would that handle mud at Broken Nut and whatever Uwharrie has?
Also my stock tire is 265/70/16s. I currently run 265/75/16s simply to make the speedo accurate. Any reason to pick one over the other? Price is only a $15 per tire difference.

It seems the AT3s are in the $190 per tire range. And I only see C and E load range. C would be fine but I'm trying to get away from E.
I did see the regular ATs for about $115 a tire. Would that be comparable to the Falkens?

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
I'm running the wildpeak at3w now (275/60/20 on the f150) and used to run them on the taco too (285/75/16). Great on the roads, quiet, and deep tread, but I wouldn't say they clean our the mud all that well.

You keep it in dry stack or in a slip? Which boat launch is closest to your boat’s marina?

Dry stack at Bohicket. Cherry Point is the closest but I’ve got to motor all the way from Bohicket so could meet y’all anywhere on the way if we ever do it.

Let’s plan the run up the Cooper to Moultrie in July. This weekend is a no go due to Fathers Day and I’ve got UTA next weekend. I also can take a day off during the week if it works for everyone else.

Happy with the wild peaks myself, I run them as street tires(km3 as offroad). Ran the Cooper ATR, ATP, AT3, ST Maxx In the past and also were happy with them all. I wouldn't put one over the other except the stmaxx, which is a more aggressive tread pattern. Price talks.

I am pretty happy with my Cooper AT3s in 285/75r16 after running the STT Pros in 265/75r16. Much quieter and the gas mileage is about the same.
