that was what I was thinking too, always thought 9K was the right size for our trucks, but never done one, so dont know

 

More winch, more better. Lookup how much weight capacity that winch has per wrap of cable/cord, it drops pretty good per wrap. You dont get full 9klbs all the time.

Are the HF winches really any good??

 

The 12k is 100$ more and a lot more winch. Your less likely to wear it out if you go bigger.

Also the wireless remote is only 40$ on sale

They're okay. I've seen a lot of guys buy and immediately rebuild with better grease and seals and do a high grade synthetic line. The expo portal guys like them

 

For some reason I thought you had a 12k. I do wish I would've went with a 12k

I've got the wireless remote to the ENGO I had on the FJ if anybody needs it. They all look the same for the Chinese winches but not sure if you have to change jumpers/toggles around to match frequency.

 

Me personally I wouldn't get one. I would just save my money and get maybe a shittybilt or something like that...or even a warn of i could afford it.
