Anywhere I want to really...the company I work for is based in DC but I do most of my work from home or on the road doing site visits and meetings.

We relocated from California to SC because my wife worked for the Naval Hospital but she's since transitioned to a stay at home mom. So now nothing is keeping us anchored where we are but we'd like to put down roots somewhere for our son.

I've considered going home to CA, but I doubt it...

Busted CV boots and lots of squeaks.

Crazy. I just saw this. I had to Google Cherrydale Point because I was in Greenville today. I was just on the other (Easley side) for a Dr's appointment. I don't go to G ville often at all and I thought, on the way there, it would be crazy to be "spotted". I was over near Shriner's Children's Hospital. I was thinking I would see @Matic or @Tlook rolling through CLEMSON or Easley.

Yesterday I rolled thru clemson. Today, I just came home and slept most of the day.
There was a huge grayish looking 2nd gen that rolled up on my at cvs a week or 2 ago. Huge lift and had a verticle
sticker coming down the passenger windshield. Couldnt read it. IS that anyone here?

It was a greyish truck. Looked like 6 inch lift to me.

Hope you find what you are looking for with your family.

I grew up in the Columbia area, Irmo more specifically. We relocated from Florida in 2002. I went to Dutch Fork High School, and went to Dutch Fork Middle and elementary school, and then Ballentine Elementary when it opened in 2003. I was 8 when we moved to SC, so I can't offer any personal experience in the Cola area from 2 to 8 years old. Irmo is a great area and as a recent Clemson grad and still a current Clemson student residing in Greenville, I'm definitely happy with how my life has been the past 14 years. I seriously wouldn't trade it for anything. Going through the school system I went through definitely allowed me to excel and get into a great university, where I'm now seeking my second degree.

We lived in a neighborhood right down the street from Dutch Fork High School. PLENTY of neighborhoods on Koon Road and Kennerly Road to choose from. And I'll tell you this, it seems like every time I go home to visit my parents something new is there that wasn't there before... The Irmo area has gone through tremendous development and it appears to only be getting better.

My girlfriend grew up in Lexington, SC which is about 15 minutes away from Irmo. I had no reason to go to Lexington while I was in Irmo, so I don't have much information on that area. I do know that Lexington High School is a fantastic school, and River Bluff High School opened a couple years ago to accommodate overcrowding. My opinion on Lexington is that it's a super super family friendly area. The norm seems to be that you will get to know other parents and families as your children are going through the same schools, sports, activities, etc.

As for all the other areas of Columbia, I have little knowledge. Northeast Columbia is like a totally different city to me lol but I know Spring Valley is a good school. Dreher High School and AC Flora High School are closer to downtown if you were looking to move into the Forest Acres area.

All in all, I really am glad that I got to grow up in South Carolina. Irmo is a nice little area and I enjoyed being there when I was.

EDIT: My love for the Columbia area DOES NOT extend to the garnite and black university located downtown. With the good always comes the bad :D
