She didn't add anyone and she never asked anything about it. Sorry! Looks like she's settling down in Columbia with this new job she has.

No paddle or PFD. Was a 6+ hour roundtrip to get the boat itself. Will see if I can grab a paddle and PFD tomorrow morning or so.

    Suggestions?

For the paddle, go into a sporting goods store and check the length and feel of some. Some prefer short, some get waaaaaaay longer ones than what the "guide" says. Supposedly, it is to be approximately your height plus your arm extended above your head.

Life jacket, try them on as some are just too restrictive...............I have been known to put on the life jackets AND grab a paddle and test the movement..............I am sure it is quite entertaining!

i had a bending branches cheapo one and it worked just fine for me. i lost it at some point and now i have the lower end Carlisle paddle (i forget the model, but its just a fiberglass yellow paddle) and it seems to do the job fine also. im always pushing off of oyster bars and rocks so i dont invest in an expensive one that im just going to mess up. the only time the rigidity of the paddle came into play for me was when i was trying to pull a buddy off of the rocks around fort Sumter with a current pushing me into them. i could feel the paddle flexing and im sure i was losing efficiency but thats the only time ive been able to tell any sort of flex. id start off with one of those two and if you dont like em, youre not out much money.
