I run 265s with 3" lift, check my build for pics/videos.

 

Morning from the front end of a 12.5 hour work day.

 

Yes....I ran the Treadwright Guard dogs for almost 2 years. Great in mud. Great on the road, including rain (best grip I've seen for a MT tire in heavy rain)! Lasted about 48K miles.

the drawbacks......

Hard to balance....used around a pound of weight (each) on 2 tires
Hard to keep balanced......was going back for rebalancing every 4 to 6 months
Guard Dogs are very loud on the road

 

Thanks for the info man! I knew there had to be some drawbacks to them. I can't stand an unbalanced tire. Drives me crazy. Idk if I'll be trying them now or not lol.

 

I've heard its hit or miss from quite a few with the balancing. I have a friend that runs the same tires in 35" and never had a problem. Honestly....for the savings...it's worth the gamble.

@Marty65 -one more thing I remembered about my tires- mine rubbed, lightly in reverse, with my low profile rokblokz mud flaps. Had to adjust caster to 3.7, and unbolt the little plastic thing that hangs down in front of tire.

Yeah, if I can get some 275's for 500 bucks it might be worth the hassle of having them balanced every 6 months lol
