Its in our contracts that we cant get OT... reeeaaaalllllyyyy sucks because after the boat seasons are over I have over 300hrs of "ot" in the bag. the struggle is real.

 

aaand now were in full on hurricane prep. for a glorified thunder storm. this is a damn headache. hurricane shutters to get installed over the whole building, meetings to tell us how important we are (so they don't have to pay anyone to do this stuff) blah. cant wait for this weekend to start.

 

yea if they close schools for Friday, we're calling it an early weekend and heading out for some camping Thursday night. work can eat it Friday for all I care. I also got two more pork shoulders at the IGA last night. My names Jordan and I have a problem.

yep. its already in there. the freezer is starting to fill out quite nicely. I may just do a big cookout and have these ready by lunch and feed people instead of freezing the leftovers.

 

LOL. That's why they pay you salary! Salaried employees are exempt from OT.

 

stupid. new laws are going into effect though! anyone getting paid under 50k will be required to be paid overtime. the feds are fuckin shit up for the system down here. its going to be an interesting year coming up, that's for sure.

I agree. that does suck. Dunno what SC laws are, I recall CA had a minimum annual salary amount too.
