    There's an Orvis 2-day class down here every month that covers all aspects...I really want to go but dates don't always line up with my schedule; however, it's looking good for this month. Pretty pricey but worth it I'm sure...especially if it'll get me using all this pretty Orvis gear sitting on the shelf.

    75ft trawler. Not big enough for a cat 4 thats for sure. We've weathered strong tropical storms head on but nothing hurricane categorized.

    Works for me. Got some tweaking to do this weekend to raise it just a hair higher and forward.

    We run her up river and tie her up on all sides the best we can. Gotta make sure all tge bilge pumps are in shipshape and nothing will blow away.

    Yea me too. We had some pretty bad swell in a tropical storm last fall that snuck up on us and we were taking waves over the stern pretty badly. Had the hot water heater break loose which was an absolute beast to deal with. Its a full size heater for like a large house haha. Easy 5.5ft tall one. The outriggers were digging into the water everytime we rolled side to side. It was a looooong 30 hours of running. We were losing sight of cargo ships in the swells.
