    Single car MVA with vehicle fire and confirmed entrapment. Trucks haven't made it on scene yet but I have a feeling they're not going to be able to help them out.

    It sucks on calls like that. I really have a passion for helping people, when I can't it gets to me.

    Sorry I'm advance for the downer story but..

    Probably one of the worst calls I've been on was a family (mom dad daughter and son were driving down 178 in a scion TC and the dad lost control in a curve and hit a tree head on. We arrived and everyone was alive and talking luckily....we cut the mom and kids out first and when we saw the dads condition it was hard to hold it together...dash was pinned down on his pelvic area pretty badly. As he was alive and talking to me and were there telling him everything is gonna be ok, we knew as soon as we rolled the dash off of him he would pass. The dash was the only thing holding him together inside.

    It was awful. Knowing we had to do it but also knowing he would die as soon as we did.

    I don't have any issues seeing and dealing with people that are already dead, its the ones like that when I know there's absolutely nothing I can do to help that gets Me.
