This will be his first time. He is 8. I started when I was 6 and was doing Double Blacks by his age. I grew up in NJ, and my whole family was avid skiers. We would spend a week or two in Vermont every year while I was growing up.

The original plan for this year was to take my family up to VT like I used to do with mine. Unfortunately, that plan fell through, so WV was really the only closest thing for a quick weekend.

The last several years me and a few friends from work have been going out to Utah for a week. I will say that that is THE BEST snow in the country out there. The scenery will also take your breath away.

If I could uproot my wife and kids, I would go out to Utah. Right outside Salt Lake City is a city called Sandy. That is the area where I would want to go.

No. Winterplace. I would have done Snowshoe, but it was about another 2 hr ride.

I have never been to either. I am sure I will be somewhat disappointed, but this trip is really not for me, it is for the boy.

It is hard to go out west, then try to make the east coast worth it.

Do you feel they would be strong enough to hold a couple bikes? That was going to be my plan...mount them on the bottom of the bed cleat so my tonneau would still cover them and the fork mount without having to remove and install everything all the time.

Let me know your thoughts either way. I'm torn between those bed bars and just mounting fork mounts on the front bed rail since nothing is up there anyway.
