    I have to go see my dad anyway. His health is failing. He called for the first time in 15+ years and told me to visit him more. So I think something serious is going on... his sister already told me his kidneys are failing. :(

    Most of those "free" programs are free trials, will let you transfer 6 contacts and then ask you to pay. Usually they're fine, just gonna nag you to pay. What phone are you transferring from/to?

    Since it's Android you might be able to just login to your Google account and pull all your contacts in. On your old phone go turn on Google backup (differ t on different versions of android) if it's not on already.
