I'm all for camping near water. Gimme a creek or river! Makes me sleep like a baby.

Yeah I'm not too worried about it. I got the puller tool from @Sandman614 and already had the install kit from working on my boat trailer. Thinking a couple hours and it'll be done. Big things happening to the truck in February lol

I take back what I said about house and mortgage shopping sucking balls

I thought I was gonna be raked over the coals on mortgages, but friends keep recommending bankers for me to talk to, and each one gets better rates than the previous one and my hard pre-approval is more than I was expecting and still well within my comfort zone

I think I've found a house that I dig that's going on the market soon...have an appointment Saturday to look at it before it's even listed

I should note, I've been looking since Sept, but LE salary meant a shit pre-approval

So been fixing credit and saving $$ since then hoping for good news...2 paychecks in at the new job and pre-approval jumped $40K

It can be a pain. I got lucky and purchased the very last day of the $8000 tax credit in 2010. It also helped that my best friends mil was my realtor.
Anything below 5% is still a great rate although I think when I refi, I'll shoot for a lower rate.

Also....dont be surprised if your bank sells your loan to another bank within the first few weeks. Happens all the time.
