    10-4, I dont have much rifle / AR experience. 223/556 would be able to do both I would imagine. maybe smallish for deer, but good placed shot will do the job most likely. now a bear might laugh at ya and take it from ya and shove it up your :censored:

    I think you should look for an ak or vz58. They shoot a 7.62x39 and can come with collapsable stocks so easy to haul in the truck.
