My wife has a Kimber almost identical to this only compact. I however am a Springfield and Sig slut. This is my 1911, upside down makes it more sexy

 

That is a nice looking gun!!

 

I do have to admit though, I have grown away from 1911. The 1911 IMO is the sexiest sidearm out there, however the Sig P229 Scorpion has stolen my heart and is my go to for everything not CC.

 

Thanks, that grip is a crimson trace, also not my favorite. I have some great composite grips that came with it that I really like. Thinking about dropping the crimson trace and putting the composites back on. Although crimson trace is fun, albeit not necessary.

 

I thought about getting a crimson trace for this one, but I like the look of the stock grips too much. Kimber offers a crimson trace in that color but it’s like 499 or something

 

Just a Auto Ordinance 1911. Got it for a steal in Anderson for $400. Actually fired it tonight. Great firearm.

I ordered it online. I actually saw it at academy for 799 but they don’t price match online stores only local stores. I paid 599 with free shipping, so I’m happy to wait a few days

 

Pickens is good. Nice rolling land, close to plenty, but out of the way.
