Oh I make them. If I don't, I end up with a slew of random e-mails that I can't keep up with - "Hey come fix this" "Hey this isn't working" "How do I internet" etc.

Usually if they e-mail me, I have a generic e-mail reply, something like "Thanks for letting me know, please put in a ticket at <insert helpdesk here> and I'll assist you with this ASAP!

People are supposed to call our North America call center first, then if they can't fix it they make a ticket and escalate to the appropriate IT, Facilities, or whatever dept depending on what it's for. It just doesn't happen because our call center can suck balls when they want to and the users get frustrated. I feel their pain and help them when I can, but sometimes it's just too busy and they have to put in a ticket or it won't get done.

Yup, same! Most of my people know not to email me, cause I'll read it, forget it, and then nothing gets done. But tickets are golden since those sit in my work queue until I mark them complete.

When I write a work order in for machine, I always put "machine broken". Lol.

Even if I know the exact reason WHY or WHAT is broken. You really don't want anyone to think you know what's going on around here. Then they expect you to fix it. Sorry....I don't make maintenance pay, you fix it.

I think I’m the only one that will call IT when our software hangs up. Friggin comp could be froze all damn day. They simply get up and move to a different computer.

I’m going to bed before scott tonight. I left for Columbia at 5am yesterday. Worked all day down there. Made it back to Seneca around 730. The wind was causing problems up here so I ended up getting home around 2am. Back to work this morning.

    I’ve had enough.

Yeah I've had a rough couple of days. Came home at 1pm yesterday so I could go back in last night for a few hours. Bed about 1am and back to work at 7:30 this morning. Ended up working 11 hours today. Bed soon.
