Thanks for the offer man. That's a little too far for me or I'd probably take you up on it. 3 hours one way. Right now I'm thinking I'm gonna do this myself here in the parking lot. Good excuse to buy more tools for myself I suppose!

Not sure if I'll still make Gulches or not if it even happens. Hoping to get this leak buttoned up Friday afternoon after work. Depending on how long it takes and how I feel afterwards we may still drive down and camp Friday night and wheel Saturday. Or just come down Saturday for a little wheeling. Not quite sure yet. I'll have to play it by year with the weather and fixing the truck.

 

The Gorge isn't in Asheville lol. Where you camping at?

Lol nope, not close. Pretty good difference, you're closer to Boone at the Gorge. You'll be in the Nantahala national forest not Pisgah. Lol Hurricane Creek is near there.

You are, you're not near Linville Gorge lol. I've camped near Brevard, John Rock. It's great.

 

Hell yeah, views look good man, Are there any place that would be good for me to set up a base camp with the truck?

 

The John Rock Hammock hang I did we parked at the wildlife center and hiked 1.5 mile in to camp. From there there are a couple different loops of trail that will take you up to John Rock or you can go to Lookin Glass falls. It's National Forest so you can basically hang up a hammock and camp anywhere. Tents are bulkier and harder to find a spot for.

 

Gotcha, I went to Looking Glass falls last year and we did a day hike to the top, It was a pretty solid view.
