If I had more time, I'd fuck with him. My buddy used to find them and terrorize them.....just keeping them on the hook for as long as he could just to waste their time.

Nah, you gotta get the REI Camp Bed 3.5 memory foam one. It's almost as comfortable as my bed. :anonymous:

You need a RTT with those 4in. memory foam mattresses! You're still a ground dweller with that. Looks pretty nice.

pffft what kind of overlander would I be if I didn't already have a RTT?

I used that mattress once so far. And it was in a hotel room in Santa Barbara because the other beds were all filled  It'll probably end up being my bed for a while until I get a bed for my new house whenever I can get a place  and then it'll be the guest bed after that

Even the aftermarket radios are having trouble with apple car play and now the new wireless android auto. I think it's more of a communication issue when updates come out for the phone software then stuff just goes into deedadee mode.

I'm sticking with sleeping in the bed of the truck or ground dwelling it in a tent. I feel that RTT isn't the best option when offroading that and a lot of weight high in the sky.

That’s why I bought all my stuff before buying a house haha. Granted I’d still like front and rear bumpers, but that can wait. Id rather have a house than steel on the truck

It’s really no different than if you had a cap or a 4 runner. 100 pounds isn’t that much additional weight. I’ve never had any issues wheeling with mine on. I’ve seen pictures of guys who have theirs on bars taller than mine and in way more flexy spots than I’ve been and none have had any issues either

Eh but you put one on top of a cap or bars those bars add weight too grant it not much but still it keeps getting more weight higher and higher. No mid height or low pro bars isn't that big of a deal. But I would hate to break camp go wheel come back set back up. When sleeping in the bed of the truck roll pad and bag out and either leave it in there or set up a tent and base camp and go wheel come back to camp already set up. But an expo trailer could solve those issues too.

Ya. The whole “once you set up you’re not going anywhere” part is kind of a bummer. But usually after I set up for camp I’m done wheeling for the day anyways. I also don’t typically go on multiple day trips either though. Luckily it’s less than 10 mins to pack up. But certainly would be nice to have an expo trailer to drop at camp and then continue on and not have to take down and setup again

Time to do what @BravesTaco95 is doing and trailer it or join the hammock/ground dweller crowd.

I was thinking pretty hard about it on the way back from AOP. Loud AF buggies and asshats revving their engines at whatever AM made me think camping at OHV parks kinda sucks... But I'm fine with putting it up and taking it down. Trailer would be nice, but gonna spend that money on a steel front bumper instead.
