Rubber cement, tire patch, & 5 layers of automotive flexible Goop adhesive to seal up a puncture. Didn't want grease slung all over under there. The 2 mile test drive was successful so the 60 mile test drive will happen later. Just need it to hold until my appointment time tomorrow morning at Toyota to see about replacement.

Nice! that's a hell of a fix! 5200 is also good for plugging holes like that. once it dries, it doesn't come off!

 

Thanks! I let it cure for 72 hours before even moving the truck. I honestly don't think it'll go anywhere for a long time unless it's just too much and is too rigid, then I think it'll just pull apart. If it survives the 60+ mile trip later today then the 30 miles to the dealership, I'll just leave it in place if they don't want to warranty it. I also think they may not anyway with my patch since they won't be able to see the puncture without removing it, and if it stays put I won't let them pull it off. It's too much of a damn masterpiece...

 

haha I hear ya. but yea if that doesn't hold in the long run and you want to try something else, go grab a tube of 5200. itll pull fiberglass off the deck of a boat before coming loose.
