Long story short the CPO inspection was never actually done, was wrecked twice, badly fixed and needs appx 5k in work to make it comply. The dealer is buying it back.

The tech just never actually did it, lied on the form and said he did though. Likely figured it was a year old and had 18k miles, how could there be anything wrong..... he fucked up.

Yeah, most likely. Debating a diesel canyon/colorado though as a secondary but more than likely a turd gen.

depending on who your insurance is, they may make you pay the deductible now and hope you get it back at the end.

I called my insurance the day of, it’s like @jhodge83 said. They told me I could file through them and pay the deductible or file through her insurance since she was at fault. Her insurance says they have to give her 3 weeks and a certified letter to respond, not sure what else mine could do to push that.

yours would write you up a quote (minus your deductible) and you could get it fixed now. they'd go after whoever their insurance is to get reimbursed for their expenses.

right...but you'd have to hope that your insurance got your deductible back from the other insurance before you get anything back for it.

also might be better to go through your insurance anyhow b/c of dealing with diminished value after the repairs. dealing with their insurance on DV is a crapshoot. been fighting geico (their insurance) over DV on the taco for almost a year now. awaiting my county court date for arbitration.

You'd know if it happened to me, the dealer in question would have a large fire the next day.

I wonder if her small insurance company decided not to pay if I’d not only be out a deductible but my rate go up. Guess I wouldn’t have a choice anyway.
