Maybe I need to change up my work plans this week. I was planning on spending Wednesday and Thursday in the Myrtle Beach area.

 

What did they give you on the trade in?

 

I've bought two Tacomas now from Lugoff Toyota in the past 2 years. I searched nearly every Toyota dealership in SC and many in NC and still ended up going back to them. They'll work a deal with you if you're willing to play the game and negotiate.

 

Gotta admit those little bastards are pretty damn clever.

 

24k. I paid 28k for it new in 2013 when I bought it.

 

I have nothing but good things to say about sparks. Bought my 4Runner and pro from them. Worked the negotiating for my father in laws taco and mother in laws RAV4. I just think are smoking crack on their used prices. Most dealers are though.

 

Yeah, that's... a lot for a 2013. Holy hell. Great looking truck, though.

 

One dealership that will not work with you is Florence Toyota. Their prices are high, they don't negotiate much even if you have out the door offers from other dealers. I think they're banking on their customers not wanting to drive to Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Columbia, or Lugoff. Their sales people don't know shit about the vehicles. Only kind thing I can say is their service department hasn't been terrible, and I've been there 4 times with no issues yet.

 

Ya I called them and stopped in when I was in the market for a 4Runner. On the way to myrtle to see her parnets I stopped. They were horrible. After about 15 mins I knew I was wasting my time.

 

That sounds like Ballentine here in Greenwood. Decent service dept, but sales are pretty WTF. I ended up getting my 2nd Tacoma from Stone Mountain and wife got her Camry from Anderson.

 

I stopped in there sometime in July. Told em I was just looking around. Sales guy said he really liked my green truck. They offered me 15 grand. I literally got in my truck without saying a word and just drove away speechless.

 

I have travelled South Carolina for 20 years for my job. Of all the towns Florence is the hardest place for me to be
successful in. Flo-town is just a little off if you ask me. Every time I leave there I just shake my head.

It's the terrible schools and poorly spent tax money. It's old south. Like our own little piece of Mississippi. Good bit of corruption too.

 

I was so happy when she turned a job down there. It was closer to her parnets but we didn’t like the general area at all. Greenwood and western sc in general is better for us.

 

The sign at the I-95 and I-20 should say "Welcome to Florence. We don't matter and we're ok with that"

 

Is it bad that I'm just now learning about the hurricane? Lol
