South Carolina BS thread under new MANAGEMENT and lives in SC

I hunt bedding areas. Mature deer don’t move much in daylight. Normally 100-200 from their primary bedding area. I find the beds in the winter or spring scouting. Also find them based off topo maps and certain terrian features.

Come hunting season I scout my way into the areas. If I see hot sign I set up. I can tell when the scraps are hit, rub lines being opened up. Hunt the hot sign. Last night I cut a giant set of tracks leading into the bedding area and they were fresh so I knew something was in there.

 

It's always nice when you can see the sign, read it, set up and it all goes your way. I've only had it play out that nicely once, but damn that's my favorite part is the game you play. I wish I would've hunted solo more when I was younger or just paid more attention to the little stuff. Could've learned a lot more.

Selling my SOS front bumper. Fits 05-11 tacomas, $900 obo lights not included. Fully loaded, bed liner with paint inside. Some minor rust that will clean up.
It's a little dirty from being out west, need to scrub it.

North of Kershaw. Sandwiched in a bunch of private hunting lands. There is an easment road to it, but I have to cut a road to the back where there is a nice little stream.

It sits just below the yellow pin.
