Yup! I think it was an ancient dry Sea bed. Diversionary dams broke when building they Boulder dam; Colorado rived flowed into the dry sea. Creating a new Salton sea. Very interesting stuff to learn/read about.

 

Last hour of work and I'm finally off for 9 days. Wo0t!

Gulches = 80 acres or so.

Ocotillo Wells = over 80 THOUSAND acres- dedicated to OHV on west side of Salton Sea.

I think it is largest state park in the nation- filled with 4WD OHV trails.

Nice! Definitely a group type of a trip. I am sure we will be back again. Just gotta make school and work schedules pair up.

Did Echo Canyon in DV a couple years ago in a rent-a-heep. Easy trail, but had lots of broken shale; weird to drive on.
Saw “eye of the needle” and some old mining camps.

 

Who’s seen that movie life? It’s a weird ass movie.

 

The one where they are on the space station? Good watch... Messed up....

Should be working. Fixing something, cleaning being a productive employee at a job that pays you to do your job. Not watch movies

We are up to like 64" for the yr and still going. Supposed to rain through till the new yr. on and off.

Yeah same here. It's been raining almost everyday since we got that snow a couple weeks back. The ground is just a big giant mud pit walking the dog is super fun.

 

I've always done what the manuf. recc for oil on all my equipment. Never even thought about it. I'm interested to hear what others do as well.

 

I just want to go camping but the rain is killing that plan every day I’m off it seems.
