Had a guy try and run off with tires from a place I worked before. I headed him off as he cut through the alley. He rounded the corner I was running full steam and speared his ass onto the the sidewalk. Then me and another co-worker tussled with him that slick little bastard came out of his shirt to get away. We didn't chase him as the cops came just as he was getting away from us. One cop chased him on foot all over down town while the others kept driving around trying to head him off. They finally caught him because he jumped a fence just to end up at the police dept.

They bring him back for identification. That's when the officer who chased him told me their end of the story. The officer on foot was an ex lineman at NC Central. He tackled the guy too when he caught him. I would not of wanted to be on the receiving end of that tackle. The cop was all of 6'6 + and at least 250. So this guy ended up pretty skinned up once it was all over.

At least one of the officers today had skinned palms, I think one of the other ones took a blow to the head somewhere because he was leaned over the car nursing his head. Shit was straight up something off of cops or live PD or YouTube. It was wild and surreal.

Yeah the guy who tried stealing the tires was more scared than anything didn't really fight at all more of a flight response.
Growing up in Durham we saw a lot of shit go down. Hell I've got crazier stories just from the shit I saw in school.
