4Runners are severely outdated on the interior options and tech.

I enjoy my auto climate control, auto head lights, heated seats, heated mirrors, and other doo-dads.

So who keeps their A/C button engaged with the temp knob maxed out on heat?

I don’t but I’m curious if most peeps do or don’t. :notsure:

I think my Auto Climate Control (which only the Limited T4R's have BTW) keeps the a/c on most of the time with the heat.

I just turn the dial to the desired temp and let the computer do it's thing. One less thing to fuck around with while driving.

    Um ...
2.4s can run without the MAF (mass airflow meter) plugged in. Not well, & WILL throw a code.
    BUT, it will run.

I’ve been having a rough idle after warm. 2 misfires (both 0500-0504 codes), both when parked & idling. Plus, a generic O2 sensor (0420- which I find funny). From what I read, plugs & wires should solve the misfires & idle, and/or a throttle body cleaing.
So, I got NGK plugs & wires from the local O’Reilly’s. The intake crossover tube goes directly above the 3rd cylinder back, so I pulled it loose.
While off, I decided to clean theintake, the same way I was advised to clean the Miata one-spray inside, wipe out what you can, spray till it runs out the opening hole. Put back together & force it to run- with the throttle open- to force through the carb cleaner.

So, I put it all back together- cranked it-ran it -> puffing & smoking, as it should (burning carb cleaner, which is combustible). I drove it around the block, but it was “spitting” & accelerating very erratically. I saw the code I was expecting- drove home & plugged in my cheap reader. - MAF code

Got out, unplugged battery (which needed to do anyways after plugs & cleaning- so ECU can relearn the timing, etc).
Checked MAF, wondering if I screwed up something expensive ... & ...
The plug had popped of when I moved the crossover tube (harness was attached to to tube). So, for my carbon blow-out & arround the block drive, it wasn’t even plugged in!

Plugged in, reattached clips to intake crossoved, waited a while, so ECU would clear.

Everything started & ran just fine ...

    These trucks are tough mo-fos

Snorkels are standard issue equipment for all South Carolina teams this season.

You mean scuba equipment. The same holds true in NC. Hopefully we won't have a drought this summer :fingerscrossed:

    Clinton has 2 fields-
One is a sponge & aborbs water to such an extent that they can play ball on it. For dry days, by the time they dampen the infield to keep down the dust, where they started is bone dry.
The other (newer) is “rain repellent” & absorbs no water an all- it just sits on the surface in giant puddles.

There is the theory we maybe shifting back to a “wet season”/“dry season”- like when the original Carolina colony was founded, with the primary crops of rice & indigo. Later, it shifted to a more sporadic rain (as we became used to).
We really aren’t sure which is really “normal” for here, only that the latter has been prevailing the last (couple?) hundred years.

Changing plugs & wires, plus cleaning the intake/throttle body, in the rain under a leafless tree.
    Fun!
