Nice! Always nice to have another yota in the garage as well. One of the main selling points of our house, when we got it, was the large (and insulated) garage.

Luckily we have the space for a “his and hers”

 

Little cleanup outside and in the barn tonight. Had some motivation. This guy had been sitting for a while and needed to get sipped on.

 

I finally managed to score a bottle of Eagle Rare a while back...but haven’t broken into it, yet. Trying to finish off this Elijah Craig first.

I got a bottle of Makers as well, I like to drink that over the rocks or it’s a mixer.

 

Good ol’ Makers. That’s my bourbon of choice. My boss swears by Blanton’s but I can never find it.

Thought I found it once (for $16 a sip) at Mortimer’s in Charlotte but even they didn’t have a bottle of this rarity:

 

$10 for Buffalo Trace? You can get a whole bottle for $30 (assuming you can find it).

 

Yeah, Bourbon’s got some serious Instagram cred right now. Prices for any Kentucky swill are going through the roof. Just throw the words “small batch” in front of it and you’re golden.

 

I can't drink "out", the prices are just stupid. even beer prices make me cringe, though I'll have one maybe 2 drafts of craft something or other just for something different.

Our local ABC moved to a larger location (1100sqft to 1650sqft) a few weeks ago, the selection has gotten MUCH better on a lot of brands. need to do some exploring... last trip was Makers, its almost time for a refill....

 

I know what you mean. I just spent $24 (Minus tip) at Percent Ale House in Harrisburg, NC for 3 12 oz. beers.

I enjoy a good craft beer, I really do, but it’s getting just a little bit too pretentious and expensive. I get the feeling that there will be a bubble-bursting moment at some point in the near future.

Im all for a good beer, but I'm not one to give a shit about how cool or uncool any particular thing makes me appear. there are a lot of things I can afford, but I'm not gonna spend a stupid amount on a lot if things just because I can....

I learned a long time ago, you don't buy liquor, you rent it...

I knew the hipsters would ruin it eventually. That’s probably why I can never find Buffalo Trace or Eagle Rare...cheap but extremely good stuff.
