Our Trane was installed in ‘97 and still going strong.

I had a couple quotes to replace it with a hybrid system (heat pump & furnace) and they all came in at $12k. That’s for a 2 ton mid-range unit.

I got quoted to replace my entire A/C system in 1600 sq ft home for like $8500 bucks and that includes new ductwork too. I paid a HVAC contractor to do it on the weekend for like $1500 bucks. So I bought the system and ductwork for like $2500. Bam whole system for $4000. :fistbump:

That's what I've pretty much decided will happen. Ducts are in fine shape still

@Sandman614 Was it you that tapped a grease zerk into your slip joint on the driveshaft? How is that holding up?

Happy my wife replaced the A/C and roof before we met. Right around the same time she forked out a few dozen $k for her divorce and I forked out another few dozen $k for mine. That should do for big repair expenses for a while. I hope.

The biggest expense I have recently of replacing something because it broke was my coffee maker.

I do need to have the heat pump serviced though. Can't be having that thing go out in the middle of summer with my better half stuck in bedrest with two newborns.

Most noticeable at takeoff, happens once I hit the accelerator. Sometimes I can get the driveline to settle out if I'm at a stoplight by releasing some pressure on the brakes.

Anyone know where I can go to redeem the best deals on flights or hotels with my AMEX points? I have about 200k points sitting in my account right now from the last 2 years.

Mine does the same, if you put mine in neutral and twist the ends of the slip joint you can here a slight clunk.
