I hope so. With as warm as its going to be this weekend, and me heading home, and don't really have a choice at this point.

At this point it's probably costing me as much to run 5 fans up here as it would just to have the unit repaired.

 

Call your water authority and get them to come out and check your pressure before calling a plumber. If your system has pressure reducing valves to the houses then it may be bad.

Also is the hot water heater relatively new? Certain new heaters require expansion tanks and if one isn't installed then it will put back pressure on the lines and blow the relief valve on the heater every time.

 

Found a new area to check out, probably only hunting season though . Scdnr just announced a new area this year, Tall pines management area. Looks like a nice area even if no Wheeling is involved.

Both units are now 20 yrs old so he's recommended that I replace them.
12-15 yrs is usually the lifespan.

He also recommended 2x trane units at $6k
apiece. I'm like "dude, do I look like I have $12k plus installation"?

Got the Odyssey alternator rebuilt at Gene's alternator and starter on welcome Rd. Right across from welcome elementary. $110, best price remanufactured denso was rock auto for about $200. Genes has always been good to my buddy so I tried them out. Took them about 3 hours to get it back to me. All reviews on google too

 

Naw. I didn't want the old company to come back after that sketch stuff.
They replaced that contactor switch in May of last year. It's brand new.

Not uncommon though. This guy said he's pulled 2 brand new ones from the box and the were bad.

This guy didn't mind me standing over his shoulder (although I kept a good distance) and explaining everything he was doing. Very friendly and talkative and trustworthy.

The guy from last year wasn't a people person at all. So I just went back in the house and did my thing.

When I look at the capacitor a few days ago I couldn't tell that anything was wrong with it.
But after he pulled it and showed me the top of it, you could see just the slightest bow where the terminals were. I had it replaced maybe 5 yrs ago.

All in all, I had a super great experience with this guy and would def recommend.
