    So sad.

People not setting stuff up properly- vehicles set up poorly, then arrangements & locations that match that even worse- getting folks into trouble & causing headaches are ruining it for those who work hard to do it “right.”

I’ve seen too many roads close or become simply dangerous for “spirited driving” in a handling car. RVs & non-handling pickups on tight, twisty mountain roads- driven by folks who have no idea how to properly drive the vehicle, what it can & cannot do, what roads are in no-way appropriate for it, nor how to drive it on those roads when they must.

I’m even less surprised trails are closing as a result of the same. Folks cheap out “for looks” & create a poor driving, poor off roading, uncomfortable rig, as it’s cheaper than a properly built (but less flashy & perhaps more “stock-looking”) rig that can off-road well.
Then, said poorly set up vehicle tries to “off road” & gets stuck or ruins property they aren’t supposed to be on (inc trespassing on property around down here, which is a serious issue), and upsets those who have been trying to be offroad friendly.

I’m the first to admit- I know very little about off-road sets ups. I’m setting up my truck for street/mountain road driving. It’s stock-height 2wd.
BUT, if I know it’s crap, it must REALLY be crap. & I see lots of trucks with awful set ups.

If you want to show, set it up properly- glitz, etc- > lowrider or overkill.
If you want go, set it up properly- whether street driving or offroading.
To do show & go is possible, but takes more work & money than one or the other, plus LOTS of careful planning & parts procurement.

I’m interested in: Go first, then show (with a specific look in mind- aged retro).
Off-road rig would be another vehicle for me entirely. I accept that.

But, it irritates me that “bro trucks” are ruining things for those that put in the work to “do it right” ....

Thanks! The granite is called “Nevaska” never seen/heard of it before. It is mid-level granite with a “leathered” finish and we love it!

Also- we used a local cabinet guy. The Cabinets themselves are made in Hickory!

    Thanks! Its coming together. :fingerscrossed:

I know they say oil color doesn’t matter but my god I was surprised how dark my oil was at 5k on the taco. Possibly due to towing with it so much? Regardless I’m old school and will continue to change it every 5k with synthetic. About 30 mins to drop the skid plate and do it, overall not bad.

    Check The Build Thread
Maybe after it’s totally fucked and I buy it back from insurance...then I’d buy a chassis and swap it all over.

Some of those guys looked to be running pretty stock one except a roll cage and probably some upgrades.
