    So curious now im thinking what if someone built a 100% aluminum rock crawler...it would be light weight.. easy to winch... never rust.. aluminum leaf packs..even aluminum gears and Axles

    Well my general manager carries his old .45 service pistol so I guess he’s not too worried about the liability I guess. We have to go into some sketchy parts of town at night by ourselves sometimes so they want us to have some sort of protection.

    Rock bouncers are using aluminum for their suspension links. Depending on the alloy it will return to shape better than steel. If engineered right and use the right tubing etc I bet a slow speed crawler it would work on. Bouncer probably not.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    That's a good perk!

    I used to carry when I worked retail because we had a gun counter next to my department and the more employees carrying the better. We had some sketchy dudes come in looking at guns and a few situations where they were trying to setup a walkout but failed.

    Yeah it’s not a bad thing to have. I usually just keep it in my center console in the runner but my work truck doesn’t have anything but a fold down seat back so I’ve been toying with ways to keep it close to be able to grab if needed.

    So the part of open or closed compartment is new so I guess that’s what I’m just confused about. Just limited places to keep it.

    Does it matter in SC. I mean NC if you have your CCW then you can pretty much have it anywhere within reach in the vehicle hidden or open. Isn't SC an open carry state as well? If you have your CWP then do you have to have it concealed?

    We aren’t open carry. They’ve toyed with the idea but nothing ever came of it. It’s strictly concealed or have it locked up. Open carry would make things so much easier because you wouldn’t have to worry about what’s concealed and what’s not.

    Well then what does the state say is concealed. NC is pretty clear by stating in plain sight. So tucking it down in a pocket like that where you have to really look for it would be concealed IMO especially if you sit in it.

    You could get a holster with a snap loop and attach it under the seat.

    I might be wrong, but i think it has to be a locked or latched compartment in a vehicle.

    @jhodge83 - is that right for CCW?
