“cute” & “meth head” has gotten me very curious ....
Not things that usually go together, not for long at least.

I ended up googling this person and apparently she has quite a lot of medical problems rather than solely a meth problem. Sad.

 

The image source, according to one article, was evidence in her 2019 drug trial (she claimed to have never used drugs, so they put together a collage of all her drug-related mug shots in chronological order, starting in 2005). They then released the image with the tag: Don’t Do Drugs.

Multiple articles followed & the image went viral, with a shortened version also created.
The medical issues, supposedly, also stemmed from drug use. It seems a perfect storm of personal issues spun out of control, taking massive physical tolls.

It is very sad.
Still, a reminder I have used for my kids & friends (teenagers) about the compounding toll of drug use & how it could destroy what they live, besides the risk of “getting caught.”
My son’s friends are athletes talented enough to be in Power 5 college (& baseball draft) discussions, if they maintain their present trajectory.
My daughter’s circle are also ones that could be sunk by many drugs.

For adults, my feelings on drugs gets more complicated & nuanced. I also feel that once you hit 80, do whatever you want, as long as you don’t hurt/harm others.

Tacoma, Washington’s historic baseball team name (multiple incarnations, using the same name).
Presently, they use the one historically associated with Seattle, the Rainiers. They adoptef it when they became the Mariners’ minor league affiliate.

Tacoma is the native name for Rainier, so it fits.

 

That’s a nice looking guitar! I want to learn how to play again. Several years ago I got where I could play one song but for what ever reason( not a good one) I kinda stopped playing.
