How good of condition do you want them in? I have some I got from @ovrlndkull that could use a good sand and repaint. You can have them for free.

They also have tires mounted as well. Not sure if we’re needing those too.

what kind of washer did you use when you installed it? I’ve never had one leak. I always use the gasket washer that comes with the fumoto, not the crush washer that you would use with the stock drain plug.

you shouldn’t need Teflon tape or anything else on the threads. If anything I would use the liquid Teflon and not the tape.

Not sure if any of you bourbon needs are into Jameson but this stuff is delicious. It has the coffee/chocolate/caramel notes of a stout and will definitely be bought again. I got it from my TWSS in a 3-pack with another IPA caskmate. So if you don’t mind Jameson then give it a shot (see what I did there?) lol.

Jameson used to be my go to before I got into bourbon. Good stuff.

Ah yeah, I forgot that they did that for the basic trainees. I went through basic after the holidays and it completely skipped my mind that that's what it could be. You can tell that they are all standing at parade rest which is something that is ingrained into all BMT kids, they are still very green.

I'm with @SearArtist on this. You shouldn't need any Teflon tape on this part just the rubberized gasket that comes with the valve. It's a one and done kind of thing too. I've seen evidence of the Teflon tape degrading and breaking down when subjected to oil. I had a Fumoto on my oil catch can that I taped with Teflon. After a few drains of that catch can, I found the tape suspended in the oil residue. Now bear in mind that the crap that the catch can picks up is blow by oil and unburned fuel so I cannot say definitively if the oil or fuel did it. Just keep that in mind. Another thing about the fumoto valve that some have done to help drain the pan completely is to cut a small "V" notch into the beginning of the threads not to exceed the first two turns. Helps the oil completely drain out of the pan as it's not held back by the lip of the threads when its screwed into the oil pan.

Used the one it came with. Not a big fan of how low it hangs below the factory “skid plate” splash guard setup

Did you get the one with or without the nipple hose bib? IIRC F105N? I bought the one without the hose nipple and it didn't hang below the factory skids to the best of my knowledge. I have since swapped the factory skids with a full set from Pelfrybilt :sadviolin:

Those skids hang an inch or two lower than factory. Also, after the oil was drained out, I ran one of those abrasive scotch brite pads to clean up any gunk prior to installing the Fumoto. Maybe you just don't have a good seal but the fact that you are worried about stripping the threads leads me to believe that you cranked that sucker down. I would swap the gasket and check for leaks again.
