I’m not working but got some pics from someone that is. Car got wrapped around one of the 124 overpass pylons, had to fly the driver out.

edit: it was the Cartee Road overpass

Campers are dangerous. You’ll spend a lot of money very quickly.

We rented a little Jayco for King of the Hammers.

About a year later, we bought our first camper, a Grand Design. Baller as hell compared to Jaycos and other bumper pulls. Doggo enjoys the heated massaging recliner. Even bought a new truck for the new camper. No trips with the new truck yet. Already scheming and planning for the next camper.

last fall we toured probably two dozen different models, all of them were complete shit, but then again we were looking at <$15k. This time we are looking at the Winnebago’s as they seem to be built “better” and hopefully will somewhat hold value if we decide to sell and go larger down the road.

Who saw catch 23 docked in Charleston today headed to Morehead city to the big rock? 80’ Viking is one hell of a sled.

Hard to find something decent under 15k. You get more options when you get to 20+ but you can easily keep it under 30k. Longer loan terms too. Rates aren’t horrible. When we were looking at a lower price point, we kept coming back to the No Boundaries series.

yeah that’s what we figured, more money = better build quality.

I read quite a bit on the NoBo’s and a lot of people said they were junk. We went through one of them, and wasn’t impressed.

I just bought a GX470 so i can shed some light on this.

Basically there're like 2 different hitches you can slap on it.

One is a frame mounted hitch that came on the 4runners/FJ cruisers and depending on the class rating (III vs IV) the rating is either 5K or 6.5K

problem is for me anyway is that toyota is selling the hitch for like 200$ as it's the class IV and it tucks high and tight out the way unlike the universal alternatives.

We looked at them. My aunt-in-law has one. If they chopped the price by about 2/3rd they might be worth it.
