Look into renting them. Some farms will do that for you. We're looking at doing the same thing to clear out some briars and poison oak thickets behind our house too. My dad used them to clear some land back when he was younger. He'd put a collar on it and tie it to a tree and come back later and that circle of thicket would be gone.

Some states are working with farmers in using them to clear kudzu and other invasive species or overgrown areas. My aunt has a couple and they are pretty cool better than the sheep. Get the fainting kind :anonymous::rofl:

They're also fairly social so get at least 2 so they don't get all lonely and depressed.

Saw that you could rent them. My buddy in Tennessee has a couple goats and his family loves them. Figure since we have the land and two little kids it would be pretty cool owning them. Have something my 3 year old could help out with. Looks like the fainting goats might be best for what we need. It’s a slippery slope though, chickens might be next.

Chickens are good when I had my house I raised meat birds and had a flock of egg layers. I was joking about the fainting goats really I just want one to mess with. Dwarf Nigerians are good relatively small & good milkers. Some goat breeds are good for meat too
One of my dogs liked my chickens too but not in the friendly way.

Haha yeah it took a little work to convince them that they weren't toys, but now they lay out back and keep the Hawks at bay

I wanted to get some chickens when we moved to our house but I’ve come to realize they’d starve or get eaten by yotes. I just don’t have time to deal with it.

In the desert eating crap food out of a rubbermade bin and the TCNs offered me some of the goat curry they made. It was a green curry. Soooooo good. May have been dog. Not sure. But it was awesome. I brought homemade masaman curry for lunch today.
