South Carolina BS thread under new MANAGEMENT and lives in SC

By the weekend we’ll be in a deep freeze. Just hope the jet stream doesn’t decide to do somethin stupid.

 

This is what I do just let the fluids warm up a bit and get circulating good. Then off and go. Only days I let it warm up is to defrost the windshield and that's just because I'm lazy and don't want to scrape it.

 

It's nuts how bright the sun is here, if my windshield is frosty I'll just turn the car around and let the sun melt it while I make my coffee inside. Back in IL when it was cold as hell out the sun didn't do anything... It's like we are closer to the equator or something down here.....

 

Seems like it’s always dark here til at least March.

 

I'm no geologist (think that's the right 'ist) but you may be onto something there

Essentially yes, I have the little diverter. But it still gets engine bay air

 

My garage doesn't dip below 55F even on the coldest days...I don't let my truck warm up...get in and go. Oil is so thin it doesn't really matter, I just don't beat on it until its up to temp.

 

My garage doesn't exist...

Anyone in the upstate used Clemson 4 Wheel Center? I'm looking into swapping out my OME setup for kings or fox and would like to get an alignment from a place where the tech isn't scared my UCAs will give them cooties.

 

Today was a good day. Got my GI Bill transferred to my daughter and got approved to buy a house when I get home.

 

Its been a couple years, but they helped me with my lift when I had my TJ Sahara. The owner, Fred Perry, knows his stuff.. but their labor isn't cheap. Check out Southeast Overland in Seneca too. Not sure if they do alignments though.

 

I need a strapping young lad in the upstate on saturday to help me load a trans and t-case into the bed of my truck.

Lunch on me, your pick.

 

I mean... beers and liquor involved as well maybe?! It’s a bit of a drive, but I can figure it out!

 

Moar importantly... what the trans and tcase for?!

 

The seller says we can get it in the truck and I got a buddy to help me unload it at the house. If we cant unload it, then i'll just park the truck in the garage till I can pick up a hoist.

Thats quite a drive for you for sure.
I also gotta dump it off at the house and head into work.

 

Well.......it aint for my Jeep and I only have 2 vehicles.

Hope so. It looks solid and these 4 banger 4x4 drivetrains arent easy to find.
So, i'll pick it up and make other dumb decisions as i go.
