Foundation and footings.. finally getting somewhere!

 

"Technically" only an acre and a half is mine.. but it's all family land. The rest is in my mom's name. They're about 100 yards up the road from me.

 

My goal is about 30 acres or more and live in the middle. That's getting hard to find.

 

Had 80 acres once. Got super lucky at the right time to get rid of it. Couldn’t really farm it. Animals were out especially close grazin’ ones. Basically a money pit until they hit good natural gas. Shortly after water went for shit. That was it, haulin’ water at -30 just wasn’t my thing.

 

Our family land in North Greenville was 80-something acres with a 15 acre lake. We parceled it out and sold it off when I was younger, then moved to FL. I still think it was one of the worst decisions ever.

 

I shoulda never bought the place & after I spoke to some of the locals, they thought a land fill was about the only thing it was good for.

 

Smoked some salmon on the Weber yesterday. Charcoal and apple wood chips was pretty good. Might try to smoke some wings next week.

 

Anybody want to do a trip to URE on the 3rd?

In laws 2018 VW Tiguan broke down just south of Rock Hill. 2007 taco to the rescue. Burned a couple hours of leave at work and picked them up. This is the second time it has broken down in the past three days.

 

Sounds like a perfect candidate for vroom or carvana and find something else
