Hot water.... spray Pam in the coffee cup first



If that fails, fill the coffee cup with coke and drop mentos in it

 

Ok, I have tried hot water, but not in conjunction with Pam. I do have some Pam olive oil spray, though.

Shit, I got some of that, too!

 

I fished a shoelace around the measuring cup, sprayed the Pam in there and filled the cup with hot water, then knotted the shoelace around a screwdriver and twisted it around until it pulled the measuring cup out.

Simple machines and some good lube FTW.

 

I was really wanting to hear the Coke and mentos story tho, dammit

 

Next time, with a different cup!

It's one of my favorite coffee cups. Hate to destroy it.

Things got a lot better when I made her electric.

 

Anybody running a different INNER cv boot? I blew another one and it’s maybe 4 months old. I don’t want to do a diff drop

 

Supposedly the Napa hd cv axels are good. I’ve been running them for close to a year now and so far no probs.

 

What inner boot are you currently running?

Running whatever comes on the Napa cv axles. This is the 4th inner boot I’ve torn.

 

toyota sells a CV boot kit for about 50$. Grease, clamps and boots.

thats what im gonna do one of these days.

 

If one of my Napa’s busts that’s what I’m planning on doing.

 

I drove on my last busted boots for almost 2 years. Wrapped them in plastic wrap and pumped some greAse in there every so often when I thought about it.

 

On my first gen I just swapped the boots with new OEM boots and called it done. No issues.

 

gx460 boots are solid. I’m running those on my 470.
