Cause he got greedy and stupid! If he would of kept it simple, I'm sure he could of been well off.

I was just looking at the BashFab FB page. I kinda like that he doesn't just do bumpers (etc).

Different ball game but.. That's how I worked making the Bussmann electrical boxes, but then if I didn't have time or now that parts are unavailable I didn't take money from anyone. Small scale with no overhead is easy enough not to do that though.

I’ve heard the same thing, a lot of guys in the 1st Gen forum swear by them, and quite a few west coasters get them shipped cross country from Bud Built even though there’s plenty more options on that side of the country.

Yea he's a legend in the Toyota wheeling community and has been around forever. He's super cool as well, I wheeled with him back in 2008 and didn't even realize how close the shop was to me until recently.

The guy's initial post offering services is from 2014. I don't imagine he could carry out a scam-only service here for 8 years

Looks like it started going downhill last year, prior to that there were plenty of happy customers. Since the mods have gotten involved around February one guy has gotten his lights and he had to take them somewhere to fix some issues. One guy asked for the parts he bought rather than wait for the build, when he got them there were all kinds of issues with them. One guy was supposed to have gotten his in April no further updates so I’m thinking he didn’t. People have been waiting over a year and paid in advance. Pretty messed up.

Edit: today’s thread features one of the guys threatening him and him telling the guy to come to NC then. I think dude operates out of the Hickory area.

My buddy bought a complete iron man kit from them. Said it was in stock and he waited months. Finally responded saying they were backordered and they were selling out of their stock to local customers. So we drove from dc area Maryland all the way to middle PA to pick it up from them. They were basically trying to run a overland group and a shop at the same time. Kinda unprofessional.
