I don’t drink water from the fridge or the tap… if unless coffee or wait, only if it’s coffee! Otherwise it’s bottled or well in used to ice down my alcoho intake!

ours was a French door up top and drawer on the bottom fridge and the ice maker up to would always freeze up due to opening the door and letting in moisture into the ice maker that was in the fridge. I could defrost it and within a couple of days it was locked up again. the fan in the back would get ice growing around it and make god awful noises. I replaced the heating elements and sensors twice in 5 years. so I gave up. we now have an "old school" just side by side whirlpool. the ice maker works!

When it comes to appliances, I believe simpler is better. Less stuff to break. Mine are all either GE or Whirlpool. The fridge is a french door on top with a bottom freezer drawer. The ice maker is in the freezer drawer. No need to have it in the door, taking up room in the fridge.

I am about to purchase a Samsung QLED 65" QN90B - I usually buy a TV once every 10yrs or so. I make sure to get a good one that will last, so I tend to go a bit more expensive than some others would.

I talked the wife out of the Frame one. the picture wasn't all that great compared to others. the dark areas in shows were almost just plain black. we ended up with an LG OLED 65" I honestly couldn't tell the difference in the Q and O LED ones. still cost more than I wanted, but yea we usually only get one when one dies, so every decade or so. it also has an "art" mode so shes not too upset

OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) has better blacks since it has the ability to completely shut off each individual pixel. QLED (Quantum Light Emitting Diode) is cheaper because it is functionally the same as a regular LED albeit on a smaller scale. Still the same backlit technology as regular LED. With that said, if you are using your TV in a brighter room, you might want to lean towards QLED since it is technically 'brighter' than OLED. If you are viewing primarily in a media room with dimmed lights then you'll probably want an OLED. Comparatively speaking, you wont really see a visual difference on TVs 65" and smaller. You will notice that OLED surpasses its QLED competitor at 72" and up. If you're intending on playing video games or watching shows with the same picture elements (think the network logo or sports ticker) that dont move on the screen, OLED's are more susceptible to burn in due to how the OLED works. Bottom line: If you are wanting a big TV for a dark room, go OLED or if it's going in a brighter room go QLED. I have an 84" 4k Samsung QLED and love it. Make sure you invest in quality HDMI 2.1 cables for the true 4K/8K experience if you want the best picture quality. As far as 4K vrs 8K, the human eye has difficulty distinguishing the difference between 4k and 8k on TV's smaller than 72" and I personally think it's a gimmick. If money is no option, then there's a 146" 8K tv that's on the market.

Good call you will like the LG oled picture a lot better. Now get a Sonos arc soundbar and sub for great sound.

damn where were you when I was in the Best Buy’s! Luckily I don’t have as much time for video games as I used to, so I hope it won’tburn in after only a hour a week or less.

why’s your house so clean?! Did you just take a picture of a model home? Glad I didn’t put a picture of our tv room, you’d call child protective services and a priest.

Soooooo did everyone’s tv crap the bed at the same time? While dropping the old one off at the dump I saw 2 other people dropping off boxes of new tvs. Sounds suspect. And right before Black Friday?

I install TV’s for a living  here is another one with a Frame tv (without a frame). I definitely like the LG’s more even though you can’t leave the same artwork up all the time.
