My degrees and work experience get me basically escorted out for regular court.

I've been summoned several times. But it usually settles before the trial is about to start.
But I did end up serving in a federal case last year. I have excuses but got picked anyways. Actually ended up finding very interesting.
It was a civil case where Lexington county sheriff's department was getting sued for a wrongful death situation. Got to watch both sets of lawyers tell their tale. Got to see actual unedited body cam footage (that was really interesting, the cops fucked up). Learned that expert witness actually get paid a good bit of money to be there.
So it might not be too bad to serve on one.

I came across this article on a government website which is based on both historical and constitutional abstracts from our own colonial history and absolutely not illegal. The judge may disagree with you though and has the ability to pass summary judgement. If you are a fervent advocate for it then you may roll the dice. Just remember that both the defendant and the law is on trial and do your civil duty.

I pay a lot of money every year in taxes, that's enough civil duty for me.

Familiar with jury nullification. When I got called up, was hoping to serve on one of those.

Got my first awning for me and my daughter’s upcoming trip to the mountains. Opinions of which side ( driver or passenger ) to put it on? Which gets in the way less

I've always seen them on the passenger side but honestly for me it's always which side works best for what I'm doing

I have mine on the driver's side. Mainly bc I am in and out of the drivers door to control lights or radio etc.
