While it seemed like it helped, sadly I’m still hitting the cab mount. Makes no sense tbh.

Hoping the chop can do enough

Yeah, thank god. I’ve been stressing over it since I put these damn tires on the truck.I’m just ready to be done with it.

I’m having BashFab do it. He did @jayandersen5 & @BabyBilly as well. I’m beyond pumped. Aside from their photos of his work, I checked out his instagram, and he does some real cool stuff. So, he’s got my vote of confidence.

Too much caster. If you watched the video I linked you will see that more caster = wheel closer to the firewall.

    CMC should solve it though

So, unrelated side note, last year I got a new set of 5100’s and didn’t care for them. I think I had about 500 miles on them, took them off, and got another new set of Eibach’s Stage One.

I’m debating parting ways with the 5100’s as I’m sure I’ll never go back.. but I’m tempted to give them another shot. If I don’t, what’s a good price to sell the 5100s for? I mean.. it’ll just be the strut/shocks, no springs.

Or, is it worth keeping them for a rainy day?

Hey Y'all, sorry if this is in the wrong place, looked at Charleston thread but no posts there for 2 years. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations for repair shops in the Charleston area, preferably James Island, Johns Island, West Ashley area. Have a few items I need done that are over my head / don't have time to complete. Thanks

without knowing exactly what you need done, LexTech on 17 in west ashley specializes in toyota/lexus. maybe worth a phonecall. i have zero experiance with anyone local outside of the parts department at fred anderson toyota though, so it's not a recommendation, just saying know they exist....

Thanks, have the dreaded A/C blinking light so I replaced the A/C magnetic relay fuse, pickup sensor, and A/C amplifier, (basically the 3 easy ones) those didn't work, so now it's down to compressor/clutch and don't want to DIY those. Also have a small coolant leak and think I need a new radiator or possibly a valve gasket (still trying to pinpoint) but had without being able to compression test.

On JI I used Bert's Motorwerks to do some driveshaft work, they were good no complaints price was reasonable I think but hard to tell since I usually DIY everything on the truck.

Sounds like you're low on refrigerant...
Have you tried recharging it? I recharged mine a few years ago when I got the blinky light and haven't had an issue since. You could truly have a leak in the AC system, or it could just be low from miniscule loss over the last decade and finally got below what whatever threshold it has.

What kind of driveshaft work? I'm in the middle of caging and 4-linking the rear suspension. I think I have it designed where the factory shaft will still work, but if I need a longer slip yoke or have to extend or shorten the driveshaft, I don't have a way to balance it. Only part of the build I can't do myself. Wondering if that's something within their abilities or if i should plan on sending it off.

Nothing that crazy it was just carrier bearing and u-joint so nothing that needed rebalancing since it was like-for-like parts.

Finally released the cats into the shop! First night they tore into the exposed insulation :annoyed: wife and I removed the insulation the next day(it was only in 5 stud bays :notsure:). Found out the mice have been making their nests all in the insulation, this one didn’t make it :puke:

you really need to pin the trans thermostat to see any real cooling on trans temps.
